The HBase init.d scripts are killing the process too fast

            Description

            This was reported on #hbase, all local, standalone mode for HBase, when stopping the processes using init.d scripts they kill the process if they take longer than 10secs. This causes newly created tables to go missing as unflushed data is thrown out.
