            Description

            Please backport HBASE-4273 to CDH3.

            If you have a disabled table and servers are removed/renamed, it leaves unresolvable DNS entries in .META.. HBCK fails early enough you can't make use of the -fix options.

            I believe you run into this problem on cluster startup (after a full shutdown) and the cluster won't come up.

            The workaround is to remove the info:server entr(y/ies) in .META. table for the effected region(s), but that is a pain to do manually.
