            Description

            After CDH upgrade from 5.2.0 to 5.3.0, parcel-based distro, Sqoop2 server will not start. Log indicates:

            Caused by: org.apache.sqoop.common.SqoopException: REPO_0002:Repository structures are not in suitable state, might require upgrade

            Environ is Ubuntu 14.04 on Amazon EC2. CDH 5.2 was in healthy running state before upgrade and no exception messages were thrown during upgrade.
