      Description

Opening up an issue for a problem that was discussed on the forums as I ran into the same/similar issue:

      https://community.cloudera.com/t5/Data-Ingestion-Integration/CDH-5-3-and-Sqoop2-startup-and-use-error/td-p/23883

The symptoms were the same, I wasn't able to start the Sqoop2 service and were getting the same Feature 'http://apache.org/xml/features/xinclude' is not recognized when trying to run sqoop on the command line. Turns out that the system administrators installed maven and its rpm dependencies. One of which is xerces-j2 – which since it appears to be included in the jar path for sqoop gets picked up and causes the problem.
