Decomissioning a node does not kill the thread

      Description

      Flume keeps happily writing data even after a node is decommissioned.

      To reproduce, set up a new flow, start tailing a file, observe that the messages are making it trough the flow and into the sink. Decommission the source node. Observe that the events are still flowing into the sink.
