            Description

            Currently, several sources automatically add metadata to events when they are generated. Ideally, these names would be documented, but it would be even better if the metadata attribute name is user defined (or optional). This would make configurations easier to read because attribute names would be explicit in sources, operators/decorators, and sinks.
