      Description

We use S3 as a sink and would like to know when a file is closed so that we can mark it read only.

      From Jon on the group:

      Rob,

Out of the box, not yet. There are a handful of requests for something that
could generically be solved with an "exec on close" decorator. (exec chmod
when file closes, exec hive alter when file closes, exec xxx when file
      closes).

Do you think that would be sufficient?

      Jon.

When the commands are executed, it would be great if Flume could set some environment variables (filename components - path, file, etc.).

      Thanks!
