[editor] Async fetching of sample data

Right now it is tricky to bump the timeout as the page is getting displayed but the fetch data is blocking. We would need to reuse the logic of the editor, which submits the query then poll for status and results instead of doing all in one shot. Doing all in one shot let us cancel the query quick.

This is even more a problem on views.
