            Description

            We repurposed HUE-330 to track the work to enable the Google Chrome plugin for IE8. This jira now tracks the overal IE8 memory problem.

            Opened a new browser, opened hue, opened & closed the jframebrowser hue app.

            Memory stair-stepped gradually up towards the system max.

            Navigating to about:blank released much of the memory.

            Closing IE8 completely released the rest.

            My hunch is that the VML that is used to draw the hue app window chrome is the culprit.
