Missing some test coverage with kerberos enabled

            Description

            We've got a bunch of client server connection tests but those are not run with kerberos. These include:

            • too many clients connecting to the server
            • low timeouts and retries
            • failure on the underlying socket

            We should extend these tests for kerberos as well.
