Reduce lock contention in row batch queue while running scan bound queries

            Description

            Running the first benchmark query sum(ss_item_sk) on our cluster results in this lock contention issue. This doesn't manifest in non-scan bound queries. Could be an issue with the instrumentation as well as this is quite high.
