            Description

            Sqoop supports importing data directly into Hive tables. Tables are either created or overwritten during this operation. The ability to load table partitions is not supported as of yet. It is desirable that Sqoop has the ability to populate partitions and thus allow incremental loading of partitioned Hive tables.
