Problem with NULL values in MySQL direct import

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Resolved
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Affects Version/s: 1.0.0, 1.1.0
    • Fix Version/s: 1.2.0

      Description

Currently Sqoop uses 'null' string to denote null values when importing data in text format. When using the --direct option with MySQL, the null string written to the output is NULL instead. This causes subsequent failures in incremental import or export functionality.
